Farewell to Central Asia

After our stay in Bukhara, Philipp and I took an overnight train to Andijan and then crossed back into Kyrgyzstan. We spent a day in Osh and then comfortably drove the 12 hours (for 600 km) back to Bishkek in a private taxi. The journey was truly spectacular. I am generally a fan of long car rides, and the views of the mountains and lakes were magnificent.

Back in Bishkek, we made preparations for our return journey. We exchanged money, bought souvenirs, and spent one last evening together enjoying Georgian food with our hostel friends. On September 23rd, Philipp took his flight back.

On my last day, I went once more to the Ala Archa National Park to say goodbye to the Tien Shan mountains. It was quite beautiful. Since the weather wasn't very good, I had the nature almost all to myself. In the evening, I had Plov again, ran some errands, and packed. What I always enjoy is emptying my backpack after a long trip and throwing away or giving away the things I no longer need, like my towel, old T-shirts, or empty cosmetic bottles.

On the 24th, I set off early in the morning and landed in rainy Frankfurt after a long day of travel yesterday evening. Now it's time to readjust to everyday life.
