And then it goes downhill again

Published: 23.03.2019

From Dalat, which is located at an altitude of 1500 meters, we went downhill to the sea with our favorite bus, the Sleeper, on a winding road.

However, sleeping or reading wasn't possible for me. The bus driver was apparently trying to set a new record for the route....
Arriving in Nha Trang, we are immediately hit by the heat that we had forgotten in the highlands. Next, we are struck by the size of the city and the density of tourists.
We decide to go to the beach early in the morning and once again we are amazed because the beach is already crowded with locals swimming or doing gymnastics, and with some sleepy tourists.
Instead of spending time at the beach, we spend it on sightseeing and there is quite a lot to see:
The Cathedral (built around 1930 in Gothic style)
The Long Son Pagoda

And the most beautiful: the Po Nagar Towers, over 1100 years old, perched on a rocky hill.

Thomas asked about the food. It is very varied and delicious, and it is everywhere. Cooking, frying, chopping, and sitting and eating on those (stupid) little plastic stools is happening on every corner.

The people here seem to enjoy the abundant food in company, we also got a glimpse of it during our snorkeling tour
In addition, there are countless cafes everywhere. Do the Vietnamese ever cook at home? It doesn't seem so.

Mmmmh, das sieht ja lecker aus .... ich krieg Hunger. Bei uns gibt es heute abend Spargelrisotto mit grünem Spargel und Putensteak und vorher Artischocken mit einer Vinaigrette.
