Enchanting landscape - the dry Halong Bay

Prominent elements of Halong Bay are the countless scattered karst rocks protruding from the sea. In the landscape around Ninh Binh, about an hour southwest of Hanoi, there are the same rocks, only here they protrude from the rice fields, hence 'dry Halong Bay'.


But the landscape here is not completely dry. There are small river arms meandering through, on which tourists are rowed.

The people here row with their legs and look very relaxed while doing so. It goes through caves and the two-hour tours are very beautiful.
We stayed in Tam Coc for three nights, a small town that lives almost entirely from tourism but has a pleasant atmosphere. Our 'family homestay' lived up to its name.
We took advantage of the days for bicycle tours and scooter tours
We visited beautiful temples and the former capital Hoa Lu. But the best part is the nature
