The weather in Urshult by Lake Åsnen greeted us very unfriendly this morning and did not change throughout the day. Daily high temperatures of 16°/17° C, foggy with intermittent rain.

What can one do, except take a few steps by the lake during the breaks in the rain and otherwise indulge in cheerful idleness.

Lake Åsnen is located in Småland in southern Sweden. It lies south of Alvesta and Växjö, and northwest of Tingsryd. It is the largest lake in Småland after Bolmen. Lake Åsnen has many bays and islands, the largest of which is Sirkön. Due to its abundance of fish, Åsnen is also a popular fishing area. There, one can find zander, pike, perch, and eels in large quantities.
