We are at a loss for words, George Town in Malaysia - located on Penang Island - is simply unbelievably beautiful: colorful, diverse, and varied, vibrant, by the sea, and surrounded by hills. It’s no wonder the old town is on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
The influences of Chinese, Malays, Indians, and Brits have shaped the cityscape as well as the interior design of countless historical houses, as well as the culinary offerings of the city.
One doesn't even know where to look first, what to photograph first. Overwhelming. In this regard... pictures speak louder than words.
PS: Remarkably, in comparison to our previous experiences, George Town has the liveliness of Hoi An and the cleanliness of Singapore.
