Fremantle: Sunny and hot at 40 degrees
Our last adventure in Australia started at 7:45 AM. A two-hour drive to Yanchep National Park, which lies on the shores of a calm lake and is surrounded by bushland and forests, is known for its rich wildlife, including koalas and kangaroos. Well, that was quite disappointing as it was just too hot for the kangaroos, but the park was beautiful with its birdlife and flora. We continued to the 3 Emu Hotel, where a delicious lunch of fish and chips awaited us. Refreshed, we boarded the 4WD vehicle, ready to conquer the impressive dunes, which reminded me of Rust ;-). Back by the bus, we packed the surfboard and climbed the dunes where we enjoyed a super fast descent. A unique experience that will remain unforgettable. Now we headed back to the ship, but our guide said he would only be happy if we managed to see some kangaroos too. So, a little detour to the Memorial Park, where we were amazed by how many kangaroos lived in the wild here. This was the final experience in Australia, a beautiful country with so many impressions. Now we have 7 sea days until we arrive in the Maldives.
