Penneshaw Australia: A sunny autumn day at 22 degrees

Our alarm went off at 6 am, time to get up, have breakfast, and off we go to the next adventure. We fell in love with this island at first sight. The majestic expanse of Finders Chase National Park was beautiful. The next destination was the raptor show featuring some of the most fascinating birds of prey. Our exploration continued to the Remarkable Rocks, where 500 million years of natural shaping by wind, rain, and waves have created a surreal collection of granite boulders. There we enjoyed our lunch in the open air, gathering energy for the afternoon. Next up was Admirals Arch, where an extraordinary rock arch has formed and is a refuge for playful long-nosed sea lions. Amidst the breathtaking landscape of Finders Chase, we could also spot the peaceful koalas nestled in their favorite spot among the eucalyptus trees. This sight was simply indescribably beautiful, and experiencing these koalas in the wild was unforgettable. On the way back, we made a detour to Pennington Bay, a well-known surf beach on the wild southern coast of Kangaroo Island. So, now we have 2 sea days to let the experiences settle a bit before we arrive in Albany on Monday, 24.3.25.
