On March 23, Ernst had a fever and unfortunately, it wasn't better the next morning. Entering Australia with a fever is not allowed!!!!!! He then went to the Medical Center where they imposed a 2-day quarantine on him. This means: he is not allowed to leave the cabin and food will be delivered to his cabin. I avoid the cabin as much as possible to not catch anything. Now I've complained enough, let me tell you about my trip. In the afternoon, I set out into the bushland of the Bibbulmun, this renowned path stretches over an impressive 1000 km through the wild landscapes of Western Australia. The Bibbulmun Track is named after the Indigenous people of the Bibbulmun who have roamed this land for thousands of years. We started at Sandpatch, this section is known for its spectacular views of the Southern Ocean. We crossed a variety of terrains such as wooden walkways, sandy paths, narrow trails, and gravel paths, but only managed to cover 5.8 km. The flora and fauna were uniquely beautiful and diverse even though it is autumn here now. I have never seen any of these plants in Switzerland. After 3 hours, we headed back to the ship. Ernst was feeling a little better, but this morning he still had a fever of 38.2 degrees.
