Rarotonga: sunny 30 degrees

Our last day in the South Seas, so we immediately got off the ship to fully enjoy this feeling again. After crossing with the tender boat, we first looked for an ATM to get New Zealand dollars for the public bus. The bus stop was in the middle of the village, and then we took the bus to the other side of the island to a beautiful beach where we spent some time. Unfortunately, we weren't allowed to swim there, but at least we could walk barefoot along the beach. For the return trip, we had to practice patience; the clocks tick differently here than at home, what's 30 minutes of delay anyway? Back at the harbor, we strolled through the stalls of the locals, where there was plenty of 'kitsch' as well as beautiful handicrafts. Once back on the ship, it was time to say goodbye to the South Seas at 6 PM.

February 27, we are now back at sea and it is raining. We had incredible weather luck in the South Seas.

Now it will be quiet for us, the next landing is on March 4 in the Bay of Islands, New Zealand
