Farewell from Rarotonga

On Saturdays, we take a trip to the market, again by bus. We buy some fruit (pineapple and mango for 5.50 €), some local fast food; somehow, the sparrows here are larger than ours. In the evening, we enjoy some spicy takeout from the Vietnamese fast-food place 600m away. On the day of our departure, it keeps raining, but we manage a short walk along the beach. Then there's one last outing with the kayak and a quiet goodbye from the apartment and the island; our landlord Catherine kindly drives us to the airport. The plane is already ready, just a stone's throw from the check-in. Rarotonga fades away with the last lights, beautiful and definitely worth a stopover.
