We are in Singapore, the city-state of 700 square kilometers located on the Johor Strait, with just over 6 million residents.
An innovative, almost futuristic, extremely multicultural economic metropolis with iconic parks and the impressive Marina Bay.
Singapore is characterized by monsoons, the season of which is just starting, as we experience through spontaneous heavy rain showers and thunderstorms.
After extensively viewing Singapore from above in 2024, this time we stay on the 'ground' and explore the city primarily on foot, visiting iconic destinations such as Marina Bay with Singapore's landmark, the Merlion (Singapura, the city of the lion), Singapore River, the Raffles Hotel with the legendary 'Long Bar', China Town, as well as the impressive architecture, both futuristic and colonial.
The Chinese New Year, under the sign of the horse, is also still present everywhere, as it only ends after 15 days, with daily rituals and traditional activities.
