Hello Greece

A delicious snack at airport prices; the first time self-check-in for the sister and explaining to the security lady that we have sewn hair and there is nothing objectionable underneath... and off we go... in the relatively empty plane.

After less than 2.5 hours we land in sunny Corfu - where is the thunderstorm that is supposed to be today? As the first one, I am pulled out based on my QR code and have to take the corona test. Stick in the mouth and off we go. We go by bus, we ask our way around, first to Corfu Town. Before we get on the second bus that finally takes us to Benitses (about 13 km from Corfu Town), we have to eat something first. I order pizza with peppers, foolish me... not knowing that it is salami and not peppers! So it gets picked off. But the first impression of Corfu is great - we both think so.

The people are super nice, except the teenagers we find coooomical.

The bus ride takes 30 minutes. We get off and stand by the road, a rickety car with an even more rickety man stops, offering to take us. We hesitate, because we didn't make an appointment with anyone... but we are in vacation mode and trust. And we are not disappointed, because it's our hostel father. He shows us our beautiful accommodation Villa Martha (http://www.booking.com/Share-NwIM6z) and makes our mouths water, because in addition to homemade pastries there is also a freshly cut watermelon in the room. But these delicacies have to wait, because we go into town first to shop and explore the area... first day, done!
