The wedding

Yesterday there was another swap meeting with the girls from the friend circle. Unwanted items such as dishes, clothing, decorations, drinking bottles, or cups are exchanged over a glass of wine.
I actually didn’t want to take anything with me, as I want to reduce things for various reasons, but I ended up taking a pair of jeans and some pens.
We’ve reached a point again where everything is breaking and actually needs to be replaced. A pair of jeans ended up in the trash recently because it was worn out, as well as a couple of holey socks. Some items also needed sewing, like my snowboard jacket and another pair of jeans… So it goes. A significant loss is also my trusty backpack, which unfortunately didn’t survive the last trip to my parents well and now has several large holes in the bottom. But at the swap event, I could also find a replacement for it. I, of course, also brought a few things to the event, so the cabinets are getting emptier piece by piece. I rigorously sorted out my jewelry and also found a new home for some dishes and storage items, as well as some original packaged curlers. Unfortunately, I haven’t gotten rid of everything yet, but at least part of it.
As we regularly throw Halloween parties in our friend circle, quite a collection of costumes has accumulated over time. Fortunately, neighbors were looking for items for carnival, so I could also get rid of a few things there.
I’m still a bit uncertain about the larger household items, like kitchen, cabinets, treadmill, and terrarium with inhabitants. For this, I hope we receive enough notice from the new homeowner. However, no advertisement has been published yet.
