Preparation

Several years ago, we decided to emigrate from Germany to Southeast Asia. To do this, we saved a lot of money and gathered information to find a suitable country.

In December 2024, we went on vacation in the Philippines and met a Swedish couple who own a small holiday resort. The location is in Palawan, near Roxas, and somewhat removed from large cities, but surrounded by nature and located on the beach. The temperatures there range from 24 to 32 degrees all year round, and the rainfall during the rainy season is not as severe as in other areas. The Swedes are building a small community with friends and, like us, want to emigrate there in 2026. In 2025, they will build their house and some long-stay accommodations; one of which we want to rent. 

Until then, we want to sell a lot of household items to further ease our start abroad. We have already managed to sell some bicycles, winter sports equipment, etc., last year. I am still working on a list of what we will ultimately take with us.... Definitely not winter clothes 😉. We also want to finish our 'Bucket List' for Germany, which means visiting some more sights and engaging in activities in Germany. Of course, family and friends are at the top of the list. We want to spend a lot of time with them.
