Good morning from Vancouver - We started with a delicious breakfast at the hotel's own café. Then we set out to explore the city of Vancouver. We first walked a bit to the Seabus station. With the Seabus, we traveled from North Vancouver to the Waterfront. The ride was truly a cool experience. Then we began our exploration walk. We started at the Waterfront and continued on to Gastown. It's a very beautiful and unique neighborhood. We, of course, also checked out the famous Steam Clock. Sweet little shops, great lanterns with flower decorations, and so many unique features around every corner. We then continued towards Chinatown. Unfortunately, we had to keep our stay in Gastown and Chinatown a bit shorter than planned. There were a lot of people struggling with addiction everywhere, consuming on the sidewalk or lying unconscious in the middle of the path. We decided that this could be problematic for the kids, so we cut our visit short and moved on towards Science World. From there, we took the small rainbow-colored Aquabus to Granville Island and visited the Granville Market. The ride on the Aquabus was fantastic. We had a great view of the skyline and even spotted a floating sauna. Once we arrived at the market, it was time for a delicious lunch. With countless dishes from thousands of countries, everyone could choose something. Larissa also tried the highly hyped lobster roll - it was worth it :)

The market is beautifully located by the water. A musician, the waving Canadian flag, and the shining sun made this experience perfect.

After a short detour to the kids' market, we then took the bus towards Coal Harbour. There, we rented bicycles and first rode to Coal Harbour to watch the seaplanes. On the way to Stanley Park, we spotted a seal in the water. We had great fun watching this funny animal splashing around. We continued towards the totem poles. Super impressive. The kids then got the long-awaited ice cream. We went further along the water deeper into Stanley Park, hoping to maybe spot some whales. It was a breathtaking route. Even though we unfortunately didn’t see any whales, it was a very special trip. We cut the tour a bit short and ended our tour after 2.5 hours with a sleeping Leo in the back seat. Completely exhausted, we headed back to the hotel.
