It is said that the Westfjords are significantly quieter and less visited than the rest of Iceland. Where we have been in the past few days and where we are now, we can fully agree with this. At times it is very deserted and absolutely calm, a true contrast to the hustle and bustle of the Ring Road. Even today, we had to make several photo stops, including for a seal that posed beautifully, before we arrived in Drangsnes via Holmavik. In Holmavik, we were very impressed by the airport with the control tower, and in Drangsnes, it was the fish in the small harbor and the fairy houses.
