The contribution for yesterday was only made today, as it was a very long day. After breakfast, which we managed to have despite the strong wind, we headed to the Northern Blue Lagoon - Earth Lagoon Myvatn. The bath is beautifully designed and offers a fantastic view of Myvatn and the surroundings from the pools. Although it is not as large and glamorous as the Blue Lagoon in Grindavik and is still under development, it is much more picturesque - and also significantly cheaper. Afterwards, we drove to the nearby geothermal area of Namafjall Hverir. It is quite large, and it steams, smokes, and bubbles in various colors. We then hiked up the mountain, where there was smoke everywhere, to see the whole thing from above - accompanied by a rainbow. In the early evening, we continued on to Husavik. There is currently a city festival where we spent the evening. It was truly a bizarre scene, with many different local bands performing, plenty of rides, and a great atmosphere - all in about 6 degrees Celsius and strong winds.
