The day starts as always with a coffee and an omelette with toast.
Right after that, we hop on our bikes again and ride to a café on the beach to update the blog again. Two cups of coffee and two hours later, we run out of energy and ride along the promenade hoping to find a cheap offer for our return to Bali. Unfortunately, the prices everywhere are more expensive than advertised on the internet - maybe we'll have better luck tomorrow.
We go to a restaurant that we have already tested and eat satay skewers with rice and a tempeh burger.
Tempeh is a traditional fermentation product from Indonesia, which is produced by inoculating cooked soybeans with various Rhizopus species, i.e. with the help of lower fungi from the division of zygomycetes. (Source: Wikipedia) - Sounds kind of weird when I read it now, but it's delicious.
Afterwards, Jonna still wants something fried - fried bananas.
Back home, we spend the rest of the evening on the laptop and phone. Jonna watches a movie and I edit some photos.
PS:
By the way, during a video call, we were pointed out that our written daily routines 'always' revolve around food. It should be noted that trying out new food is one of the many highlights of our trip. In addition, the posts gain structure through the regular culinary stops we make. Sometimes we simply haven't experienced much in a day, so the easiest way to fill the blog is to document our food adventures.
This is not meant to be a justification - but it kind of is. Still, thank you, Moritz, for pointing it out.
