Yesterday morning, we set off on our trek through the jungle with two guides. After about 5 minutes, we were both completely soaked in sweat, while the guides casually walked alongside us. But the effort was worth it. Sumatra is one of only two places in the world, alongside Borneo, where wild orangutans still exist. We were able to observe not only several females but also a young one and a male. Additionally, there were many other animal encounters. After six hours of ups and downs, a few almost falls into the mud, and a lot of delicious fruits, we arrived at the camp by the river in the jungle by the afternoon. There, we bathed our sweaty bodies in the river and were treated to delicious food. Then, at 9 PM, we happily went to bed (or rather, to the mattress on the stone floor).
