18.5.2024 Masai Mara

Today we set off early for the morning safari. We saw buffalo and a lioness who had escaped from them by climbing a tree. Among the birds, a crowned crane stood out. We also watched hot air balloons to see what was soon to come.

At the end of the safari we drove to a river where tables and chairs had been set up on the bank and a breakfast buffet with cooks awaited us. A Masai warrior with a spear and a female soldier with a Kalashnikov stood guard.

In the afternoon we went on the next safari. We drove to the border with Tanzania, where the Masai Mara merges into the Serengeti.
