Unexpected Reunion

No trip was planned for today. We had booked two nights at the campsite yesterday, as friends from Leipzig were here on vacation at Jadestrand.

Since they couldn’t attend our farewell party, but their vacation spot was directly on our route, we didn’t want to miss the opportunity to meet up there.

In the afternoon, we first hiked along the salt marsh path and refreshed our knowledge about the Wadden Sea. Ines attempted to go mudflat hiking three times but amusedly returned each time with muddy, black feet up to her ankles after just a few steps. Afterwards, we met the other Leipziger and in the evening visited the “floating moor.”
