Mileage: unchanged This morning, Ines was not feeling well. The plan had actually been to have a nice beach day today and maybe rent a surfboard again. But now it seemed that...

We said goodbye to the very nice campsite in Porto Covo around noon. Before that, we had visited a Portuguese pharmacy in search of special throat drops for Ines, but we were unsuccessful.
The destination for today was the southwesternmost point of the European mainland. At Cape Saint Vincent stood not only the brightest lighthouse in Europe on cliffs rising up to seventy meters, but there was also the 'Last Bratwurst before America.' A German emigrant couple had been running this extraordinary bratwurst stand since the nineties. The line at the grill was longer than we expected, and then we even had the choice between Franconian or Thuringian sausage. Of course, they spoke German, and at least half of the customers were from Germany. When we also noticed the bucket of medium-hot Bautzner mustard, we felt a little at home.
After our tour of the cape and a break, we had to decide whether we could stay here overnight or not. However, given the bustle that was still present, we decided against it and continued to the next town. Sagres was indeed the namesake of one of Portugal's most famous beers, but the brewery was not located here; it was north of Lisbon. Too bad, otherwise we might have tried to get a brewery tour.
Today, we simply parked at the roadside in the city to spend the night. Overnight parking was prohibited everywhere in the parking areas on top of the cliffs because the entire area was a nature reserve; fortunately, we had learned that by reading and not through one of the hefty fines usually imposed here.
