Ines wasn't feeling much better, so it was again a day for easy driving.

Our journey took us back east - it couldn't go any further west - to Carvoeiro. We had spent our honeymoon here thirteen years ago at a Quinta, and we liked it so much that we later returned for another summer vacation.

This time we were here with Gary and found a pitch that was newly set up and not quite finished yet. The spots were already marked with posts, but the gravel for the surface was still sitting in a large pile in the middle, and a digger was parked nearby. The operators had somehow procured pieces of an old artificial turf field, so we were unexpectedly greeted with a patch of green right outside our door. The olive bush providing some shade to the driver's cabin even had fruit.

Ines stayed home for the rest of the day, and Sebb only went out for an hour to do some shopping.

For dinner, we had mashed potatoes with olives. We had to postpone our visit to the restaurant Monte Mar a bit. However, we ended the day by playing a lot.
