This morning, Ines was not feeling well. The plan had actually been to have a nice beach day today and maybe rent a surfboard again. But now it seemed that Ines had what Sebb had gone through a week ago, whatever that was.
We postponed our beach visit to the afternoon or later and took the day very calmly. After breakfast, Ines lay back down and tried to catch up on the sleep that had been interrupted by stomach cramps during the night.
Many of our Portuguese neighbors left in the morning, as this Monday was a holiday - Republic Day - and it seemed many had taken advantage of the extended weekend for a trip to the beach.
Sebb used the time to check Gary's fluids: oil, coolant, fresh water, etc. Everything was fine. Then he weighed the current gas bottle. It contained only about three kilograms of propane. Together with the two kilograms of butane in the second bottle, we should have enough gas for another three weeks. Since the kitchen tap had been malfunctioning for a few days, Sebb tackled that next. It turned out that the microswitch, which activated the water pump when the tap was opened, apparently had a fault. Now he also understood why it was called a microswitch, as the contact plates were so small that Sebb had to use tweezers to clean the contacts and reassemble everything correctly.
In the late afternoon, we took the time to use the razor once again and extensively utilize the showers at the campsite.
So we did not see the beach today after all. Not much else happened either.
For dinner, we had light food again: rice with feta and sauce.
