Ninth day

In the morning, we regretted our choice of sleeping spot; no one expected that this could be one of the worst nights in terms of insects and other pests. In an instant, we peeled our sleepy eyes open, packed the car, and left the terror as soon as possible without breakfast.

Upon arriving in nearby Tirana, we split into two groups of three; one group chose to visit a local church and took advantage of the early start to attend mass. The other group, led by me, set out to find a café to awaken our taste buds. We used a huge seven-story shopping mall as our meeting point, where the rest of the expedition also had breakfast.

We spent the entire morning in the car since we faced another border crossing, back into Kosovo, where in the city of Prizren, the second largest city, Řízek discovered an excellent recommended restaurant ideal for lunch.

The guys found a great place to relax after eating, which was supposed to be a waterfall in Mirusha. Unfortunately, we were horribly mistaken; the waterfall was nowhere to be found, it had dried up. We were even naive enough to bring a pot with all the cooking gear for potential washing. Therefore, we searched for another place to cool off, but again it ended in defeat. However, Béďa and Fíla didn’t give up and still took a dip in front of the locals, even though the water didn’t reach their ankles.

We got into the car and drove to our designated sleeping spot in the forest, just beyond the Montenegrin border. Many were not pleased with this, so for the first time in 9 days, we set up a tent.
