Time is flying by quickly, and we already have the tenth day here. After breakfast, we drove a bit from our sleeping location to Lake Gérardmer. The water was clean and clear, so we didn't hesitate for a moment and went for a swim. After a brief refreshment, we bought food for the rest of the day and set off to Basel, Switzerland. During the trip, a modest lunch from the supermarket filled us up, followed by a discussion about football.
In Basel, we were greeted with extreme heat, so we had no choice but to head towards the Rhine River. Here, we split into two groups. The first went for a swim and let themselves be carried downstream. The second group walked with their belongings to a pre-arranged spot where they met the first group, who, having refreshed themselves, were in slightly better shape. Then we walked through the city center and admired the local architecture along with the landmarks, the most significant being the Basler Münster Cathedral.
Our journey continued across the border with Germany, where our sleeping place was located. We arrived relatively early, so we had time to grill some sausages for dinner and relax after a long day. Unfortunately, two members of our crew fell victim to beer assassins in the form of wasps. Fortunately, they managed to spit them out in time. Then, there was nothing left to do but set up tents, watch football (of course, we all cheered for Norway), and go to sleep.
P.S. to the previous post: the biggest party animal is Hans ;)
