Since we slept in comfortable beds, we were able to restore our energy after a demanding evening. We bought breakfast at a shop and set off southwest from Amsterdam to the city of Leiden. There we had the opportunity to see the historical landmark, the Church of Saint Peter, and then, as usual, we stopped at a local café.

We continued further south until we reached the renowned Hague. We were impressed by the Peace Palace, which is home to the International Court of Justice. We also visited the Noordeinde Palace - one of the three official palaces of the Dutch royal family.

Our third stop was the port city of Rotterdam. Here, among other things, we admired the euro bridges, which are built in appropriate colors and shapes according to the bridges depicted on individual euro banknotes.

Kinderdijk was the penultimate city we visited that day. We viewed the network of windmills that fall under the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

After about 20 kilometers of walking, we were very glad to stay at Bédi's cousin Jindra's place in Utrecht. For dinner, we cooked pasta with pork and watched an exciting football match between Norway and Brazil. Then we chatted for a while and went to bed.
