Travel to Turaco Tree Tops
Today was a traveling day. We left around 07 and the goal for the day was to reach Turaco Treetops Lodge, a journey that was supposed to take about 7 hours but took just over...

Yesterday turned into a long day.
We drove from Turaco to the Chimpanzees. They told us it could take 1-2 hours to find the Chimpanzees, but we discovered a family after just 30 minutes.
The whole family was up in the treetops, making them a bit hard to see; moreover, one had to be careful, otherwise, one could accidentally get a Goöden Shower….
We stood and observed them sitting in the treetops for over 1.5 hours. When our guide started mentioning that we should head back, one by one, the chimpanzees came down to the ground and began grooming each other.
What a fantastic experience to see them so incredibly close. The nearest ones were about 2 meters away from us. They looked at us now and then but didn’t mind our presence. We surely stayed for about 45 minutes.
After the chimpanzees, it was time for a drive to a small Vesna plane for further travel to Entebbe. In Entebbe, we were picked up and taken to a restaurant for dinner, and after that, back to Entebbe International Airport to fly to Nairobi. Exciting at Entebbe airport as none of the Gates indicated which flight was departing from them.
After a flight lasting just under an hour, we spent the night at Argyle Grand Hotel. The first hotel we stayed at where the curtains automatically drew apart when you opened the door! I could easily have stayed another night.
