Italy in Spring

In just two weeks, it will begin. My train tour in Italy starts then. The first stop is in Tuscany. The excitement is immense.

Day 1. Arrival in Florence after a short night in a mini-cabin. I'm not 20 anymore, so moving and lying in these narrow 'tubes' took some getting used to. However, the arrival in this beautiful city, which was relatively empty at this time, made up for everything. I confidently headed toward the Uffizi without looking at the map, came out right above Ponte Vecchio, and simply continued strolling until I stood in the Giardini di Boboli. Fantastic! I was quite tired when I stood back at the train station.
