From Three Rivers, we set out for the next two days to explore Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park.

On the first day, we arrived at Sequoia National Park within minutes. What we didn't know: To get from the entrance to the first sights, such as the Sherman Tree (the largest living organism in the world), you had to factor in another hour's drive. Extremely winding, steep, and quite narrow… But the journey itself is already an experience.

Of course, we had to see the Sherman Tree, even though there were quite a few tourists around. Naturally, we didn't join the long queue to take a photo in front of the tree's nameplate. You can see how crowded it was in the photos above... besides, you could see it just fine from the other side.

After that, we diverted to another trail (Congress Trail) and were almost alone. There, too, were these gigantic, extremely impressive trees everywhere. You can hardly get enough of them, and the many chipmunks were also very cute.

On the way back, we stopped at Moro Rock... It involves climbing 350 steps up, and from there, you have a fantastic view over the entire valley.

When we returned to our small town early in the evening, we immediately set off for a Mexican restaurant… There are plenty of them here. However, this one actually had a few other things on the menu besides tacos, and we enjoyed a delicious meal before heading to bed relatively early, quite exhausted.

ALLES LIEBE❤️ Susanne & Michael
