Back in time in Ayutthaya!

Today, the alarm went off early because we had a fun trip planned…. Ayutthaya!! The tuktuk took us this morning to the big bus station in Bangkok, where we then took a minibus to Ayutthaya. (Great organization, Tim 👌🏻) Once we arrived in Ayutthaya, we started with a visit to the temple. Unfortunately, their large Buddha statue was covered due to restoration, but that didn't dampen the fun. The temple was truly beautiful both inside and out. We continued our journey with visits to 3 parks, taking a look back in time, which was really wonderful. Despite the heat, it was all manageable, and we were in awe! After a snack and a drink, we took the train back to Bangkok, which was quite an experience and a real recommendation 😃

Tomorrow, we will continue our trip with the night train to Chiang Mai; but for now, it's time for a good sleep here 😴 more later!
