The last week flew by! It was mainly a lot of relaxing, enjoying the beautiful surroundings, the lovely beaches, the delicious Thai food, and the friendliness that people here have as a matter of course. We started with a domestic flight from Chiang Mai to Surat Thani. We spent the night there before continuing with a bus and boat trip to Ko Tao. We stayed 2 nights in an apartment near Sairee Beach. We took a snorkeling tour along the various beautiful bays of Ko Tao, and we even saw a sea turtle 🐢. After 3 days, we hopped back on the boat to Ko Pangan and settled at Haad Than Sadet Beach, a beautiful stretch of beach tucked away in a nature reserve. We had a wooden hut; it had all the basic necessities, but that was about it. A bit back to basics here! It was a fantastic experience. After 2 nights, we hopped on a taxi to another beach, Thong Nai Pan Yai Beach. This one was more to the kids' liking. Shops and nice eateries nearby make it easy to stroll around. After 3 nights, our lazy beach life came to an end, and we headed back to the mainland! We left early Friday morning to go to the boat. After a 2-hour boat trip, we got on the bus to be taken to Surat Thani town. We had a short stopover to refresh and grab some food and drinks. We were taken by tuk-tuk to the train station, where we left in the evening on the sleeper train back to Bangkok. At this moment, we are still in Bangkok! Enjoying some downtime and soaking in all the impressions of this big city. Of course, we will also enjoy some nice food, and we still have plenty of time tomorrow to enjoy it here. At 11 PM tonight, we leave for Germany!
For now, still sending greetings from vibrant, crazy, and bizarre Bangkok 👋🏻🫶🏻😘
