We have seen the sun again

Today the sun came back. We haven't seen it at all for a whole week, so we were so happy. You immediately start sweating as it's so humid. But we’re not complaining!!

We took a walk to take photos for our residence permit extensions. We realized that we didn’t have the energy to travel to Krabi for this, so we hired a visa agent.

Then we walked all the way to Fika to have breakfast, a meatball sandwich with beetroot salad. We also chatted with the owner who told us that there would be a vernissage there tonight featuring photo art. This Saturday marks the beginning of Sweden Week, which, despite its name, is not Swedish but involves the five ethnic groups on the island doing something together, and it takes place on the beach, where everything started long ago. Of course, the island has developed a lot further south since then.

After my and Mulle's morning swim, he suddenly exclaimed as he felt something staring at him. A large lizard was sitting on the neighbor's roof and was watching us. It was probably enjoying the sun too.

When Lawa came home from school, we hopped in the car and drove south. Unfortunately, the rain caught up with us, but we saw Bamboo beach, which was the beach Lawa was last at too. We found a restaurant with a nice view and had dinner, but the food was nothing to rave about.

Unfortunately, we didn't see much from the backseat as it was difficult to stop with parked mopeds everywhere.

Once home, we treated ourselves to some ice cream at Two Scoops before lounging on the terrace for a while before bedtime.
