After an early evening yesterday, we had an early morning. We quickly packed and headed to Lanta Riviera for swimming and breakfast.

When Lawa finished sliding down the waterslide, we went down and swam in the sea, which was much warmer than the pool. I borrowed Lawa's snorkeling mask and managed to see a large Moray eel swimming around our legs. I passed the mask over so the rest of the family could see it too. It was so beautiful, black and white. But very close to the beach, which is probably unusual.

We took a walk to Moonwalk Resort, where it all began. That was where I and Mulle stayed the first time we visited the island. Now it feels strange that we would stay there; surely some wear and tear have occurred in 9 years but it was quite noticeable. Nevertheless, we had a beer and looked at our sea-view Bungalow where we stayed back then.

The waiter showed great displeasure when we ordered beer and asked if we wouldn’t eat something too. 😀

We walked back to Riviera to wait for the car that was supposed to pick us up. By the time we got home, the rain came, but it only lasted a short while this time. Just as it should in Thailand. The air becomes fresher at least, so that’s nice. And it’s always cozy to swim in the rain, as long as it’s warm.

Then we had a chat with Dad who turned 87 today. Healthy as a nut, albeit a bit hard of hearing.

In the afternoon, we relaxed, and then we took a trip to Lanta Lilly for a classic music night. We couldn't get hold of any other kids before leaving, but luckily there’s always someone around. This time it was lovely E from school. She and her brother are among the nicest kids we’ve met: Kind, polite, humble, and incredibly charming. He looks like the boy from Kalles Caviar, and she looks like a fairy.

Mulle tried feverishly to get his drink named and on the drink list, both with the owner and the proprietress. We’ll see if he succeeds. At least they liked it, and they exchanged some drink tips.

We rolled home a bit earlier to finish watching our movie. But Lawa got so tired that we all crawled into bed instead.
