Rain, rain, rain
21/11 Now it has been raining continuously for several days and one is really starting to get tired of it. We don't mind thunder and rain for periods, but this is crazy. But it...

The morning revealed more rain, and we decided to just head down to Southern for their breakfast buffet. It wasn't anything to write home about, but at least it filled our stomachs.
After that, we were going to take a stroll on the beach but found some kids on the schoolyard, so we went there and Lawa played a bit of table tennis.
However, we did manage to secure a rental car, which was harder than we thought since everyone seems to be tired of the rain.
But I bargained hard, so we got a good price after all.
We were heading to the car to drive off when Lawa took a spectacular tumble down the stairs from us. She hurt her back pretty badly, resulting in some tears. She's probably going to have a nice bruise.
Nevertheless, we managed to get away and drove the northern road towards Old Town on the other side of the island. It ended up being a late lunch, or possibly an early dinner, at Pinto.
We were grateful to have a car since it had been raining almost the entire time, and we saw all the moped riders suffering.
Mulle did a great job driving on the left side of the road for the first time in his life.
Eventually, Lawa bought a Thai dress after a bit of nagging, and Dad got a Thai wallet.
Once we were home, it was pool time; not a day should go by without a swim in it, especially considering how expensive it was 🤣
A little later, neighbors came over for a visit, creating a Saturday vibe.
It feels like our spirits are coming back now that the rain seems to be easing up, and the car gives us hope. Every Thai person we meet says that the 23rd is the last rainy day. We're keeping our fingers crossed!
