Today we've practiced doing nothing.
It rained all night and continued into the day. The only ones enjoying it are our frog farm.
Apparently, the weather is supposed to be unstable until Wednesday, so now we're looking at renting a car for a few days to explore the island a bit more.
There was a big gathering at the school, where all the children and parents come together to do something fun. Today it was a kind of quiz where we were learning to say Thai phrases or line up in height order, etc.
And then a bit of coffee time for the parents.
At least we got a shorter shopping round, and then I went for a pedicure and massage. A fantastic activity, I would say 😉
First, I bumped into two other parents from the school who were also tired of the rain and boredom and used the time for some body care.
I also found some Swedish snacks at 7/11 that Mulle and I shared.
I made it home to pick up Lawa, and we went through today’s must-dos, running the frogs and swimming in the pool.
In the afternoon, we had a visit from a family from Ulricehamn who are here for a few months, and their children go to Lawa's school. A very pleasant afternoon with a really lovely family.
Above all, we had a good laugh that their three kids have the same food preferences as Lawa, eat basically everything, and like food that isn't very child-related.
We then went and tried a restaurant called Bambino, and it turned out to be a gem. Great food and nice service, a very lovely environment. I had a tasty detox shake with cucumber and celery, followed by a Chang, of course.
The kids ran off to watch a light show first, and then they built an ice cream kiosk in the sand, but the tide quickly came in and destroyed the artwork.
Extremely tired, we crawled into bed by 10 to be ready for the weekend. Finally, Friday is almost here!
