Fix a gift 🎁

It's nice to have Monday and routines. Lawa went to school after morning homework and was ready for both swimming and sports.

A lovely walk for us on the beach.

I also spent some time looking for pictures of the fish we saw while snorkeling; I wish we had brought a camera, but these will have to do.

I took my usual Monday massage.

Then I took a tuk tuk to Lanta Mart to buy coffee and stopped by Thai Brand to buy flowers. Damn it, all the flowers were sold out!

Lawa went with the girls to Highlands on her own today for her paddle training and then took her own car back. So excited, only mom is nervous. But they say the kids have to grow up 🙈

Everything went well of course, and I met her at school.

Pool swimming and freshly brewed coffee on the terrace for me while Mulle settled in the cave to start his workday. He is quite happy with the time difference because he gets to prepare everything around before those back home wake up. However, I scolded him last week and pointed out that he had worked 14 hours that day. What would the Work Environment Authority say about that!!!!

Now we don’t have much left on our journey, and we are starting to be ready to go home again. Not that we are rushing there, but we are mentally preparing ourselves. Everything eventually becomes routine, even in a paradise. But we take with us that a break in life to just do something different is invaluable, and above all, that you start to see your 'normal' life from a different perspective. Everything has its time in life.

We were at the opening of the neighbor's new yoga studio and healing business. They have made it so beautiful inside and how hard they have worked!

Besides our golden elephant and yellow ribbon, Lawa drew beautiful pictures and sent along some candy.

Yellow is the color of Monday and is supposed to bring luck since they open on a Monday. The golden elephant is also supposed to bring good fortune; elephants are highly valued in Thailand.

I also wanted to buy beautiful roses that I had seen in a store, but they were sold out. I went to the tuk tuk drivers and asked for help finding flowers. After much discussion, I jumped into one to find flowers at a market. Orchids, which are also a symbolic flower in Thailand.

Lawa's drawing included a Scorpion, among other things, because the neighbor had shown her her first scorpion.

Pretty happy with the gift actually, but here we have all the time in the world to spend on such things 😀

When it was lunchtime for Mulle, we headed out to have dinner at Sisters. We sat and watched the nail salon next door, so when we finished eating and Mulle went to work, Lawa and I jumped into nail fixing.

Lawa went for a Christmas theme and I chose something a bit more subtle. Lawa had a little talk about nail polish with the Swedish lady next to her and taught her a bit of Thai too. Hope she wasn't looking forward to a quiet evening at the salon 🤣
