Double Section

The diary has been a bit troublesome, so there will be double sections today:

A night where we slept unusually well, long and deep!

We took a walk to Sala Dan and found our old milkshake spot on the pier. Yum, we really enjoyed it! Mulle walked home while Lawa and I found a tuk-tuk when we were ready.

Once home, the neighbor stopped by and mentioned that there would be no snacks since their daughter injured her foot today. However, we sent over a huge piece of Lawa's cake. Then a large sausage came back in return. Bartering is always nice!

We finally found a mask for Halloween for Lawa, a monster werewolf.

In the afternoon, we took a car to Lanta Lilly, which hosted a subdued Halloween party due to the queen's passing.

But wow, there were so many kids and adults in costumes. All in! Saw a couple of really funny creations.

I tried a blood bag, which wasn't very good, and we snacked on candy from the piñatas that the kids had smashed.

We met a couple from Alingsås, whose daughter was the same age as Lawa. Sadly, they were just here on vacation, but we might still have time for a bit of play.

Lawa found a girl gang, including Sonja from above, and then we didn't see her anymore. Another girl, Nellie, will be attending the same school as Lawa, but in the class above (the classroom next door). Lawa thought it was good to at least have a friend at school.

Many of the kids hanging out at Lanta Lilly attend international school, and Lawa isn't quite up to speed with English yet. Hopefully, she'll learn a lot during her stay here.

We slept in after yesterday's festivities, and then we took a walk on Klong Dao all the way down to Slow Down.

We planned to have breakfast there, but it turned out that it was already 12, so we had lunch instead. I feel like we have Thaified pretty well and have simply lost track of time and space.

Not overly impressed with the food at Slow Down, but if I remember correctly, we felt the same way last time. However, the service was very nice, and there was an insane amount of staff.

Walked back along the water's edge and talked about everything under the sun with Lawa. The greatest benefit of this type of trip is the endless time you have together. You get to listen and hear all that these little creatures think and ponder.

We also walked past the school so she could show dad and even record a YouTube video for her channel.

Then we spent the whole day swimming in our own pool, and we walked down to the beach to watch the sunset, which you can never get enough of. It takes about 5 minutes to walk to the sea from us.

Mulle had a foot scrub but was moderately satisfied with the treatment since the guy had to really work hard and managed to burn him on the leg and scrape off skin against the foot pad. But he did get fresh feet, making it much nicer to wear flip-flops.

Dinner was at a small restaurant right along the road, and it was perfectly fine. She asked if I wanted it spicy, and I said what I usually say, a little, but unfortunately, this one didn't have much flavor. The rest of the group was satisfied, and I was also happy with my mango shake—at least two of those per day because they are what makes life worth living.

Once home, we played a round of Yatzy, and when the girl had fallen asleep, we took the opportunity to watch Race around the World, the Koh Lanta episode.
