In the afternoon, we head to Lübbenau – yes, that’s what you would call the old town, and it is vibrant and inviting. At the harbor lie the traditional Spreewald boats, ready for quiet trips through the green maze of Fließen and canals. We stroll, look around, marvel – and of course, we buy Spreewald pickles because it's a must here. Crisp, spicy, a piece of the region in a jar.
Back in the apartment, we reflect on the day. So many impressions, so much history, so much greenery. The Spreewald has welcomed us – with open arms and quiet paths. Tomorrow we continue. The horizons await.
