Honiara, Solomon Islands, Day 2
On the way to the battles

Today we are heading to Alotau. The location is at the far northeast of Papua New Guinea. Along the way, we have the usual program, but also many flying fish, sea birds, and occasional so-called blow-outs, which indicate the presence of whales. However, we have not seen any whales yet.
The pictures show different species of boobies (a type of seabird) catching flying fish. So far, we have mainly seen flying fish with almost transparent wings, while these here predominantly have patterns on their wings.
