BLOG 3: Starting with RV - Valley of Fire - Route to Zion National Park

In rainy weather, we take over our RV (Recreational Vehicle) and struggle through our big shopping at Walmart Supercenter - there is no shortage of supplies, including eggs, but the prices compared to our last trip to the USA and Canada in 2022 seem significantly higher.

Next, we head towards Valley of Fire State Park - some floods show that the repeated warning signs are not unwarranted even here in the so-called semi-desert.

Our campsite at the 'Arch Rock Campground' under a balancing rock impresses us right away.

The next day we set off for Zion National Park, but first we visit some beautiful viewpoints and tackle the 'White Domes Trail' in the center of the Nevada State Park - it’s sweat-inducing, but the landscapes are simply beautiful and offer countless photography opportunities.

The further drive, mainly along Interstate 15 to the northeast, offers little in terms of scenery, but as we get closer to Springdale, the gateway to Zion National Park, we are once again captivated by the mountain formations.

Our campsite at the 'Zion Campground and RV Park' is nicely located right by the gently bubbling Virgin River, allowing us to sit outside for a while (despite the rather cool temperatures here).
