On May 1st we’re off: first with a rental car to Vienna-Schwechat Airport (Thanks to Lufthansa, which canceled our planned direct flight from Graz to Munich) – then with Austrian Airlines to Munich and directly onward with Lufthansa to San Francisco.
We will stay there for 2 days and on Sunday we’ll head to Sacramento with a rental car – visiting the California State Railroad Museum (especially because of the unique ‘Cab-Forward’ steam locomotive from Southern Pacific). On the evening of the same day, we will fly to Las Vegas – No, not to gamble, but to pick up our RV there on Monday. The planned route from Las Vegas through Zion National Park to Arizona and New Mexico, and finally through Colorado to Denver is shown in the picture above.
