In Mirissa
Finally back on the beach. After we had moved into our room, we immediately secured two loungers on the beach, where we spent the rest of the afternoon. At 6 p.m. we had a date...

Hey folks, did you miss us? I think so, otherwise you wouldn't be here now ;)
This time we're taking you to Cambodia, the beautiful land of the Khmer, full of tradition and culture.
But let's start from the beginning. We departed on Monday at 2 PM with our flight to Vietnam - an 11-hour flight! Upon arrival, we had to wait a total of four (!!!) hours for our connection, which was at 1 AM German time. Feli definitely made better use of this break than I did and didn't let the noise at the airport keep her from sleeping - in fact, she managed to do this to perfection throughout the entire trip!

When we finally got to board our second flight, I wanted to turn back... We were supposed to board a relatively small propeller plane that would take us the last 40 minutes to Phnom Penh.

But we also mastered this hurdle with flying colors and were more or less warmly welcomed at a brand-new airport (opening September 2025).

After we checked off the last errands at the airport (exchanging money, buying a SIM card, etc.), we could finally call our long-awaited TukTuk (this time via the Grab app) and head to our accommodation in the middle of Phnom Penh, where we will spend the next 2 and a half weeks on the 21st floor).

Of course, we had to try out the rooftop pool first before we then had to drag ourselves, very tired, to a restaurant and then grocery shopping. Now we will briefly enjoy the night view from the balcony before we go to sleep soon. Tomorrow at 8 AM (3 AM German time) we will kick things off at the clinic!

Good night and see you tomorrow!
