9. Stage Carrapateira - Vila do Bispo

The first 10km of today's route can definitely be classified as alpine. It started off with a steep ascent and then an equally steep descent. Here, a large portion of the nearly 600 meters of elevation gain was completed. Only the last 8km were easygoing. On wide gravel paths, we approached our destination after 18km, Vila do Bispo (Village of the Bishop). Here, we were truly spoiled at a delicious seafood restaurant. Tomorrow, we'll head to the southwesternmost point of Europe, Cabo de São Vicente. They say they serve the last bratwurst before America, so let's see.
