10th Stage Vila do Bispo - Sagres

Today was the last section running west towards south, with the highlight being the Cabo de Sāo Vicente lighthouse. This is the southwesternmost point of Europe, and here you can also find the last bratwurst before America. The path took us along flat field paths, passing by cows and sheep. After a few kilometers, the path became rougher and rockier, not very pleasant for hiking. Then, in sight of the lighthouse, we were truly baptized, as a rain that had been hinted at from afar poured down on us. Luckily, the sun came out later, allowing us to enjoy our bratwurst in the dry. From here, we continued along high cliffs to our destination Sagres, which we reached after 19.5 km.
