8. Stage Praia da Arrifana - Carrapateira

Today, the route headed more inland again. Initially still along the sea, we soon went about 15km through forest and meadow paths, a bit further from the coast. We returned to the sea about 5km before the end, coming back up above the cliffs, and could walk directly to the beach via a narrow path. With the wonderfully refreshing wind, we then walked the last stretch of the total 22km to our accommodation for today, which had fantastic amenities.
