The final stage also demanded a lot from us. Today's route ran continuously along the coast, with many ups and downs. Behind Salema, the nature reserve ends at the Algarve, and already the first big villas scatter across the landscape. After 21 km and an elevation gain of 600 m, we reached our destination at the train station in Lagos. The Fisherman’s Path ends here for us. It has been a wonderful experience that we were able to enjoy along the way. We took the train to Faro, where we will spend 1 day and 2 nights nearby, allowing our tired bones to recover a bit.
