5th Stage Zambujeira do Mar - Praia de Odeceixe

Today's section of the route can be referred to as the so-called king's stage. Not only the length of 24km and the elevation of 430m, but also the path through the bays, partly stony, rocky, and muddy, required the utmost concentration. We were rewarded again with breathtaking views of the cliffs along the Fisher's Trail. Today we also left the Alentejo region and, after crossing the Ribeira de Seixe River, arrived in the Algarve region. Luckily, we had stocked up on supplies in the afternoon, as all the shops were closed due to a long power outage. This allowed us to take care of ourselves in the evening and the next morning.
