(12.07.) Harbor Day
The weather is summery, 25° partly cloudy and a bit humid.
After a shower and a relaxed breakfast, I explore the city. Although Turku in Finland is a large city, it has fewer residents than Braunschweig. At the same time, Turku is the oldest city in Finland.
The promenade along the river is long and very beautiful. The city center seems to be stuck somewhere between the 70s and today. The market hall is likely the most popular tourist destination in the city, but unfortunately closed today.
Due to the onset of heavy rain, I return to the ship after visiting the parks on the left riverbank and a brief stop at the supermarket. The remainder of the afternoon remains gray and rainy.
