After the super foggy morning in Chioggia, we head to Comacchio, a small town that is just as crisscrossed with canals as Chioggia.
The place itself is really beautiful, but unfortunately, there’s not much going on. We preferred the vibrant atmosphere of Chioggia. Perhaps it was also a Saturday morning. Who knows. After a walk, we decide to continue to Ravenna. According to the weather app, tomorrow is supposed to be sunny ☀️☀️
We spend the night in a parking lot right by the morgue 🫣 A little further is a park that I explore with Mayla, so she at least has a bit of room to run around.
Ravenna is just as we had imagined. Beautiful, with many old buildings and museums. We walk towards Piazza del Popolo and right into the hustle and bustle of the pedestrian zone. Everywhere is Sale, there are cafés, and … (you think you’re dressed well until the Italians show up 😩)
After a coffee in the beautiful market hall, we head back to the car. And we continue our journey south.
Today we actually had a bit of sunshine. I get a WhatsApp from Petro, an acquaintance from Bavaria who is currently in Spain, sharing very bad weather news from there. This year, the weather in Southern Europe is really not great. And so far, I’m glad I have my winter jacket.
We are still hopeful and tonight we are parked directly on the beach in an official spot with electricity (refrigerator test, the wine is not cold 😂😂).
